Job Description
The QA Manager oversees quality management systems and compliance for large-scale capital projects in a battery materials company, ensuring safety, standards adherence, and continuous improvement throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement Quality Management and Quality Assurance Plans for projects
- Conduct site audits and inspections to verify adherence to specifications, codes, and standards
- Review and validate contractor quality plans, inspection test plans, and material certifications
- Maintain documentation of inspections, test results, and quality incidents
- Manage Non-Conformance Reports and develop corrective and preventive actions
- Liaise with contractors, vendors, and engineering teams to ensure quality standards are met
- Monitor and report on key quality performance indicators and trends
- Facilitate lessons-learned sessions to improve quality processes
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related technical field.
- Typically 7 to 10 years of experience in QA roles specifically supporting large-scale industrial or capital projects.
- Proficiency in project and defect management tools.
- Ability to interpret complex technical specifications and identify patterns in defect data.
- Strong communication skills to foster a quality-driven culture and negotiate resolutions with multi-disciplinary teams.
- Proactively identifying potential quality failures and developing mitigation strategies.
Benefits & Perks
Compensation/salary range: $151,000 to $191,000
Work schedule: Onsite presence required at construction sites, offices, and client locations
Work environment perks: Personal protective equipment provided, operate office equipment, move long distances within work sites
