Job Description
The role involves managing large and small capital projects related to battery materials manufacturing, overseeing project planning, execution, and coordination across teams, while ensuring timely delivery within budget and scope.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and track key phases of large and small capital projects, including planning, site development, permitting, design, construction, startup, and closeout
- Oversee project budget and schedule, providing weekly updates on progress, risks, and financials
- Coordinate across teams and stakeholders to ensure project deadlines are met
- Manage relationships with engineering partners, contractors, and external parties
- Handle change order requests, approvals, and documentation
- Develop and implement project management processes and tools based on industry best practices
Requirements
- Minimum of 8 years experience in project management, including brownfield construction projects, retrofits, refurbishment, etc.
- Bachelor’s Degree in a planning, science, engineering, or construction management discipline
- Skilled in strategic planning, budget management, schedule management, change management, risk management, and driving project execution
- Ensure deliverables are resourced appropriately and re-assign or re-prioritize as needed
- Strong track record of managing contractors to baseline schedules and budgets
- Proven communication and meeting-management skills, across external and internal teams
- Ability to anticipate potential issues and make high-pressure decisions within ambiguity
- Travel to build sites and contractors offices for design and construction support
- Move long distances and be stationary for extended periods of time
- Wear personal protective equipment including, but not limited to, a hard hat, gloves, safety glasses, and safety shoes
- Occasionally kneel or bend
- Regular shift Monday - Friday, 9:00 am - 6:00 pm
Benefits & Perks
Compensation/salary range: $151,000 to $218,000
Work schedule: Monday - Friday, 9:00 am - 6:00 pm
Work environment perks: Onsite work, safety equipment provided, potential for up to 25% travel
