Job Description
The role involves managing large and small capital projects related to battery materials, overseeing project planning, execution, and stakeholder coordination to ensure timely delivery within budget, primarily in a construction and engineering environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and track key phases of capital projects from planning to closeout
- Oversee project budget and schedule, providing weekly updates on progress, risks, and changes
- Coordinate across teams and stakeholders to ensure project deadlines are met
- Manage relationships with external partners, contractors, and vendors
- Handle change order requests, approvals, and documentation
- Develop and implement project management processes and tools
Requirements
- Minimum of 8 years experience in project management, including brownfield construction projects, retrofits, refurbishment, etc.
- Bachelor’s Degree in a planning, science, engineering, or construction management discipline
- Skilled in strategic planning, budget management, schedule management, change management, risk management, and driving project execution
- Ensure deliverables are resourced appropriately and re-assign or re-prioritize as needed
- Strong track record of managing contractors to baseline schedules and budgets
- Proven communication and meeting-management skills, across external and internal teams
- Ability to anticipate potential issues and make high-pressure decisions within ambiguity
- Travel to build sites and contractors offices for design and construction support
- Move long distances and be stationary for extended periods of time
- Wear personal protective equipment including, but not limited to, a hard hat, gloves, safety glasses, and safety shoes
- Occasionally kneel or bend
- Regular shift Monday - Friday, 9:00 am - 6:00 pm
Benefits & Perks
Compensation/salary range: $151,000 to $218,000
Work schedule: Monday - Friday, 9:00 am - 6:00 pm
Work environment perks: Onsite work, potential for up to 25% travel, wearing personal protective equipment
