Job Description

The EHS&S Site Manager is responsible for overseeing environmental, health, safety, and sustainability programs at Sila's Moses Lake facility, ensuring compliance, fostering a safety culture, and supporting operational and regulatory needs across research, development, and manufacturing activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all environmental, health, safety, and sustainability programs at the Moses Lake facility.
  • Manage and implement safety and environmental stewardship initiatives to foster a safety culture.
  • Support air and water permitting activities and ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on EHS matters, including training and incident management.
  • Collaborate with property management to align operations with site requirements.
  • Develop, improve, and manage EHS management systems to enhance safety and environmental performance.
  • Partner with operational teams to share best practices and ensure program alignment.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years experience in Environmental, Health, Safety, and Sustainability (EHS S) with at least 5 years in leadership roles.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Safety and Occupational Health or a relevant technical discipline.
  • Demonstrates strong leadership, listening, communication, and analytical skills with an affinity for mentoring and developing others, and for change-management.
  • Proven track record of driving engagement across an organization related to safety and health.
  • Experience with industrial workplace hazards, corresponding programs, hazardous materials, and challenges with scaling processes and designing new tools.
  • High volume manufacturing experience in semiconductor, photovoltaic (PV), chemical industry, batteries, or similar industry is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and key design codes, including OSHA, Washington Division of Occupational Safety Health (DOSH), NFPA standards, Fire Codes, CGA standards, and Washington State Department of Ecology regulations.
  • Pass a respirator fit test and be able to wear respiratory protection on a daily basis.
  • Ability to wear personal protective equipment including, but not limited to, a lab coat, gloves, safety glasses, and steel toe safety shoes.
  • Ability to move items weighing up to 50 lbs with the assistance of lift equipment and carts.
  • Ability to move long distances such as from building to building and be stationary for extended periods of time.

Benefits & Perks

Compensation/salary range: $128,000 to $162,000
