The role involves leading and developing the environmental, health, and safety (EHS) team to ensure compliance, foster a safety culture, and support continuous improvement in a high-growth battery materials manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and develop the EH S team to foster a safety culture across the organization
Provide leadership and strategic direction for environmental, health, and safety initiatives
Develop, implement, and update the company's EH S roadmap and business model
Align organizational and leadership efforts around a shared safety vision
Manage and execute programs that promote safety and environmental stewardship
Partner with managers and employees to identify and mitigate occupational health and safety risks
Support the development and management of EH S Management Systems
Drive continuous improvement in safety and environmental performance
Hire, coach, and support EH S talent through feedback and recognition
Requirements
Minimum of 20 years experience in EH S and leadership roles
Bachelor's Degree in Safety and Occupational Health or a relevant technical discipline
Demonstrates strong leadership, listening, communication, and analytical skills with an affinity for mentoring and developing others
Experience with industrial workplace hazards, corresponding programs, hazardous materials, and challenges with scaling processes and designing new tools
High volume manufacturing experience in semiconductor, PV, chemical industry, batteries or similar is preferred
Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and key design codes, including but not limited to PSM, NFPA, and CGA
Ability to lead and develop a high-performing EH S team and support personnel across the organization
Ability to develop, implement, and continually refresh a company-wide EH S roadmap and business model
Ability to align the organization, leadership, and new employees on a common safety vision and ensure proper engagement
Experience in managing and implementing programs that foster a culture of safety and environmental stewardship
Experience in building partnerships with managers, supervisors, and employees to understand occupational health and safety risks and integrate safe work habits and behaviors
Experience in developing and managing EH S Management Systems and continuous improvement concepts
Ability to hire, coach, and support talent through consistent feedback, navigation of challenges, and celebration of wins

Compensation/salary range: $190,000 to $239,000
