The role involves leading and developing the environmental, health, and safety (EHS) team to ensure compliance, foster a safety culture, and support continuous improvement in a high-tech manufacturing environment focused on advanced battery materials.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and develop the environmental, health, and safety (EH S) team to foster a safety culture across the organization
Provide leadership and strategic direction for all EH S initiatives within the company
Develop, implement, and update the company-wide EH S roadmap and business model
Align organizational and leadership efforts around a shared safety vision and ensure engagement at all levels
Manage and execute programs that promote safety and environmental stewardship
Partner with managers and employees to identify occupational health and safety risks and promote safe work behaviors
Support the development, improvement, and management of EH S Management Systems
Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety and environmental performance
Hire, coach, and support EH S personnel through feedback, challenges, and recognition
Requirements
Minimum of 20 years experience in EH S and leadership roles
Bachelor's Degree in Safety and Occupational Health or a relevant technical discipline
Demonstrates strong leadership, listening, communication, and analytical skills with an affinity for mentoring and developing others
Experience with industrial workplace hazards, corresponding programs, hazardous materials, and challenges with scaling processes and designing new tools
High volume manufacturing experience in semiconductor, PV, chemical industry, batteries or similar is preferred
Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and key design codes, including but not limited to PSM, NFPA, and CGA

Compensation/salary range: $190,000 to $239,000
