Job Description
The role involves leading and developing the environmental, health, and safety (EHS) team to ensure compliance, foster a safety culture, and support continuous improvement in a high-tech manufacturing environment focused on advanced battery materials.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the environmental, health, and safety (EH S) team to foster a safety culture across the organization
- Provide leadership and strategic direction for all EH S initiatives within the company
- Develop, implement, and update the company-wide EH S roadmap and business model
- Align organizational and leadership efforts around a shared safety vision and ensure engagement at all levels
- Manage and execute programs that promote safety and environmental stewardship
- Partner with managers and employees to identify occupational health and safety risks and promote safe work behaviors
- Support the development, improvement, and management of EH S Management Systems
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety and environmental performance
- Hire, coach, and support EH S personnel through feedback, challenges, and recognition
Requirements
- Minimum of 20 years experience in EH S and leadership roles
- Bachelor's Degree in Safety and Occupational Health or a relevant technical discipline
- Demonstrates strong leadership, listening, communication, and analytical skills with an affinity for mentoring and developing others
- Experience with industrial workplace hazards, corresponding programs, hazardous materials, and challenges with scaling processes and designing new tools
- High volume manufacturing experience in semiconductor, PV, chemical industry, batteries or similar is preferred
- Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and key design codes, including but not limited to PSM, NFPA, and CGA
Benefits & Perks
Compensation/salary range: $190,000 to $239,000
