The role involves leading and developing the company's environmental, health, and safety (EHS) programs and team to foster a strong safety culture, ensure compliance, and support sustainable operations in a high-tech manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and develop the EHS team to foster a safety culture across the organization
Provide leadership and strategic direction for environmental, health, and safety initiatives
Develop, implement, and update the company's EHS roadmap and business model
Align organizational and leadership efforts around a shared safety vision
Manage and execute programs that promote safety and environmental stewardship
Partner with managers and employees to understand and mitigate occupational health and safety risks
Support the development and management of EHS management systems
Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety and environmental performance
Hire, coach, and support EHS talent through feedback and recognition
Requirements
Minimum of 20 years experience in EHS and leadership roles.
Bachelor’s Degree in Safety and Occupational Health or a relevant technical discipline.
Demonstrates strong leadership, listening, communication, and analytical skills with an affinity for mentoring and developing others.
Experience with industrial workplace hazards, corresponding programs, hazardous materials, and challenges with scaling processes and designing new tools.
High volume manufacturing experience in semiconductor, PV, chemical industry, batteries or similar is preferred.
Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and key design codes, including but not limited to PSM, NFPA, and CGA.
Ability to lead and develop a high-performing EHS team and support personnel across the organization.
Ability to develop, implement, and continually refresh a company-wide EHS roadmap and business model.
Ability to align organization, leadership, and new employees on a common safety vision and ensure proper engagement.
Experience in managing and implementing programs that foster a culture of safety and environmental stewardship.
Experience in building and supporting EHS Management Systems and continuous improvement concepts to enhance safety and environmental performance.
Ability to hire, coach, and support talent through consistent feedback, navigation of challenges, and celebration of wins.
Physical ability to wear personal protective equipment including lab coat, gloves, safety glasses, and steel toe safety shoes.
Physical ability to move long distances such as from building to building and be stationary for extended periods.
Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment such as a laptop, copier, and printer.
