Job Description
The Quality Manager at Sila's Moses Lake Factory is responsible for leading and maintaining high-quality standards in manufacturing operations, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and quality excellence in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement, execute, and maintain the site-level Quality Management System (QMS) in alignment with corporate standards
- Manage daily operations of the plant quality lab and oversee testing of materials from production lines
- Ensure compliance with ISO and IATF standards and support certification and audit processes
- Oversee critical quality workflows including NPI, PFMEA, Manufacturing Control Plans, MOC, Product Disposition, and Risk Management
- Drive root-cause analysis and implement CAPA to resolve product quality defects and prevent recurrence
- Promote a quality-first culture across site leadership, manufacturing, and engineering teams
- Utilize Lean Six Sigma methodologies to improve problem-solving and reduce out-of-spec material
- Hire, onboard, and develop the local Quality team through coaching and training
Requirements
- A minimum of 7 to 10 years of experience in a leadership role within a manufacturing or production setting, specifically within Quality Assurance.
- In-depth knowledge of quality workflows including PFMEA, NPI, CoA, Calibration, and MRB.
- Ability to think strategically and create structure in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to influence site culture and effectively communicate with leadership, customers, and auditors.
- Strong critical thinking and analytical skills.
- Lean Six Sigma certification is highly preferred.
Benefits & Perks
Compensation/salary range: $155,000 to $196,000
Work schedule: Onsite
