Job Description
The Account Manager role involves managing customer relationships, executing sales processes, coordinating cross-functional teams, and providing market insights within the battery materials industry, primarily supporting cell maker and OEM accounts in China to drive business growth and innovation.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain multi-level customer relationships and understand decision-making processes
- Coordinate and conduct customer engagement visits to advance technical and commercial milestones
- Manage the full sales cycle for assigned opportunities and maintain opportunity hygiene in internal systems
- Support account planning by tracking milestones, risks, and next steps, and escalate blockers
- Coordinate internal teams to support sample shipments, technical exchanges, trial plans, and issue resolution
- Provide timely updates on opportunity status, timelines, and demand signals, and communicate risks
- Monitor account activity, competitor signals, and industry trends in China to inform internal priorities
Requirements
- Experience with battery materials such as silicon-based anodes, graphite anode materials, cathode materials, electrolyte, separator, conductive additives, or battery manufacturing-related materials.
- At least 8 years of experience in account management, technical sales, or business development in the battery ecosystem, with exposure to cell makers and/or OEMs in China strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex customer relationships across technical and commercial stakeholders, and to execute multiple workstreams in parallel with high urgency.
- Strong communication and coordination skills able to translate customer needs into clear internal actions and drive follow-through.
- High integrity, strong ownership mindset, and comfort operating in ambiguity while maintaining attention to detail.
- Fluency in Mandarin and English.
