Job Description
The Accounting Manager oversees Sila's procure-to-pay processes, manages financial reporting and vendor relations, and leads a team to ensure accurate and efficient accounting operations supporting the company's growth in clean energy battery materials.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the Procure-to-pay process, including accounts payable, accrued expenses, credit cards, and prepaid expenses
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of invoices, payments, and credit card transactions
- Lead and manage daily accounting activities such as payment runs, credit card administration, and procurement system management
- Coordinate period-end closing activities, including reconciliation of bank statements and expenses
- Maintain vendor accounts and support tax filings such as 1099s
- Collaborate with external auditors and provide necessary documentation
- Work with cross-functional teams on process improvement and automation projects
Requirements
- 5 years of accounting experience in Procure-to-pay or general accounting, including experience in a leadership or supervisory role
- BA or BS degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
- CPA highly preferred
- ERP experience with Sage X3 and Coupa highly preferred
- Proficient with Google Apps and spreadsheet appreciations
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and Procure-to-pay operations
- Proven ability to identify and resolve issues related to purchasing, invoices, payments, and vendors
Benefits & Perks
Compensation/salary range: $110,000 to $139,000
