Job Description

The Site Operations Lead is responsible for managing the overall operations of data center campuses, overseeing maintenance, vendor coordination, safety, and team performance to ensure reliable and efficient facility functioning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage overall operations of data center campuses, including maintenance, vendor coordination, and safety protocols.
  • Direct and oversee preventive maintenance, work order programs, and technical reviews to ensure system efficiency and compliance.
  • Lead performance evaluations, develop team goals, and manage personnel performance and training.
  • Prepare and manage operational and capital budgets for site operations.
  • Coordinate major projects, including planning, execution, and contract management, to ensure successful completion.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, business or related field, or equivalent work experience required
  • 7 years of experience in facility plant engineering and maintenance supervision
  • 7 years of direct managerial experience and interpersonal skills
  • Proven record of excellent internal and external customer service
  • Ability to communicate well in both oral and written reports
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word, Excel and building automation systems
  • Excellent understanding of typical electrical and mechanical building systems to direct maintenance work
  • Experience preparing and presenting estimates of cost of parts, equipment and supplies of installation and repairs
  • Experience scheduling, coordinating and overseeing maintenance vendors during maintenance and break fix events
  • Experience supporting operational requirements from site through off-site teams
  • Experience ensuring personnel safety while protecting critical facility equipment
  • Experience developing and ensuring maintenance activities are performed in accordance with approved MOPs and SOPs
  • Experience performing periodic technical and quality reviews of MOPs and SOPs to ensure up-to-date techniques, safety guidelines, and compliance with city, state, and EPA regulations
  • Experience evaluating system performance and suggesting cost-effective improvements to improve service and operating efficiency
  • Experience managing contracted service work, including understanding scope of service, bidding, awarding, and administering contracts
  • Experience managing and developing team performance goals and conducting performance reviews
  • Experience preparing operational and capital budgets for site operations
  • Experience planning, executing, and closing major projects at facilities in accordance with industry best practices
