Job Description
The Senior Manager of FP&A at SB Energy is responsible for financial planning, forecasting, and performance analysis of renewable energy and infrastructure projects, supporting strategic decision-making and ensuring financial controls across a growing portfolio of utility-scale assets and data centers.
Key Responsibilities
- Support financial planning, forecasting, and performance management for renewable energy and infrastructure projects
- Strengthen internal controls, ensure reporting accuracy, and support financial governance
- Oversee reporting of portfolio operations and provide insights on asset performance
- Support debt compliance, tax equity reporting, and investor reporting requirements
- Manage and mentor the finance team, driving process improvements and analytical rigor
- Enhance financial systems, dashboards, and automation to improve reporting speed and accuracy
Requirements
- 8 to 12 years of related experience working in an increasing capacity, with experience supporting capital-intensive, project-based environments such as renewable energy, infrastructure, energy transition, or data centers.
- Experience with ERP systems and planning tools such as NetSuite, Hyperion, Unifier, Vena, or similar.
- Experience preparing and reviewing complex financial models in Excel, including project finance, IRR, NPV, and sensitivity analysis.
- Strong understanding of GAAP, financial controls, and audit processes.
- Experience supporting and ensuring compliance with debt, tax equity reporting, and investor reporting requirements.
- Experience supporting reporting for new product offerings and revenue streams.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Finance, or Accounting; MBA is preferable.
- CPA certification is strongly preferred.
- Background in Big 4 or public accounting audit is highly desired.
- Proven ability to produce high-quality work under deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for summarizing complex concepts for broad audiences.
- Strong analytical, planning, and organizational skills.
- Advanced financial modeling skills including project finance, IRR, NPV, and sensitivity analysis.
- Experience with supporting and improving financial controls, internal controls, and reporting accuracy.
- Ability to support year-end audits, technical accounting issues, and financial statement analysis.
- Ability to oversee reporting of portfolio operations, optimize processes, and deliver accurate results.
- Ability to provide actionable insights on portfolio performance across generation assets and infrastructure projects.
- Experience in renewable energy, infrastructure, energy transition, or data centers.
- Experience with supporting and enhancing FP&A systems, dashboards, and automation to improve reporting speed and accuracy.
- Ability to build scalable reporting frameworks that integrate operational KPIs with financial performance.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally with Development, Engineering, Asset Management, and Operations teams.

Compensation/salary range: $140,000 - $180,000 with potential discretionary annual bonus
