Job Description
The Senior Manager, New Product Introduction at SB Energy leads the development, demonstration, and deployment of innovative energy and data center technologies, focusing on accelerating infrastructure projects and advancing sustainable power solutions through cross-functional collaboration and strategic commercialization.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the introduction of innovative energy and data center technologies into commercial projects.
- Gather requirements from stakeholders and develop commercialization strategies including business models and partnerships.
- Evaluate new hardware, software, and process innovations through technical, financial, and risk analysis.
- Coordinate and facilitate stakeholder meetings to brainstorm, evaluate, and report on innovation initiatives.
- Demonstrate and support deployment of new technologies in real-world facilities and operational phases.
- Collaborate across multiple business units to integrate new products and innovations.
- Prepare and deliver presentations to internal and external stakeholders, including executives and industry audiences.
- Promote SB Energy’s innovation efforts through publications, conferences, and content creation.
Requirements
- Minimum eight (8) years of professional experience in commercializing new products, especially energy-related hardware for datacenters and/or renewable energy.
- B.S. Engineering from an ABET-accredited University or other technical degree.
- Broad experience across new and emerging energy-related technologies, including hardware and software for renewable energy and datacenters.
- Fundamental understanding of datacenters and deployment needs and pain points, with direct experience considered a plus.
- Demonstrated strong engineering, commercialization, and communication skills, with the ability to work in a dynamic team environment, think outside the box, and solve traditional problems in new ways.
- Ability to understand and contextualize highly-technical concepts and effectively distill them into easily understandable and actionable takeaways, especially for an executive audience.
- Ability to quantify the value of new technology opportunities and prioritize focus accordingly.
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Detail-oriented and a self-starter with the ability to prioritize efforts and drive towards completion.
- Comfortable with ambiguity and takes ownership of tasks.
- Willingness to relocate to Denver, CO if needed, and comply with the hybrid work policy (at least 1 day per week in the office).
- Availability to travel domestically up to 25% of the time.
