Job Description

The Senior Manager, New Product Introduction at SB Energy leads the development, demonstration, and deployment of innovative energy and data center technologies, focusing on accelerating renewable energy projects and enhancing grid stability. The role involves cross-functional collaboration, strategic planning, and industry engagement to bring cutting-edge solutions from concept to commercial operation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the commercialization and deployment of innovative energy and data center technologies.
  • Gather requirements from stakeholders and develop strategies for product commercialization.
  • Evaluate new hardware, software, and process innovations through technical and financial analysis.
  • Coordinate and facilitate internal and external stakeholder meetings to evaluate and advance innovations.
  • Lead the introduction of new products into commercial projects, including demonstration and operational support.
  • Collaborate across multiple business units to ensure successful innovation integration.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations to stakeholders and industry audiences to promote innovation efforts.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 8 years of professional experience in commercializing new products, especially energy-related hardware for datacenters and or renewable energy.
  • B.S. in Engineering from an ABET-accredited University or other technical degree.
  • Broad experience across new and emerging energy-related technologies, including hardware and software for renewable energy and datacenters.
  • Fundamental understanding of datacenters and deployment needs and pain points, with direct experience considered a plus.
  • Demonstrated strong engineering, commercialization, and communication skills, with the ability to work in a dynamic team environment, think outside the box, and solve traditional problems in new ways.
  • Ability to understand and contextualize highly-technical concepts and effectively distill them into easily understandable and actionable takeaways, especially for an executive audience.
  • Ability to quantify the value of new technology opportunities and prioritize focus accordingly.
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Detail-oriented and a self-starter with the ability to prioritize efforts and drive towards completion.
  • Comfortable working with ambiguity and taking ownership of tasks.
  • Willingness to relocate to Denver, CO if needed, and comply with hybrid work policy (at least 1 day per week in the office).
  • Availability to travel domestically up to 25%.
