Job Description

The Senior Sales Compensation Analyst at Samsara is responsible for administering and managing sales incentive programs, ensuring accurate commission payments, and supporting process improvements to scale sales operations in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer sales variable payments, including commissions, draws, MBOs, and SPIFFs, ensuring accurate and timely processing.
  • Understand, apply, and communicate the sales compensation plan consistently, managing exceptions and inquiries.
  • Maintain and distribute sales compensation plan documents and templates.
  • Validate and reconcile accruals and payments, providing insights into fluctuations and variances.
  • Support participant setup and changes, ensuring compliance with audit controls and SOX requirements.
  • Perform User Acceptance Testing for sales compensation system updates and modifications.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to scale sales compensation operations.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Sales Compensation role at a high-growth technology company or a company with 500 or more employees, with experience in administering sales commissions, including commissions, draws, MBOs, and SPIFFs, in accordance with company policies.
  • Bachelor Degree required, preferably in Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Advanced skills in MS Excel and/or Google Sheets.
  • Experience with automated sales commissions systems and their setup and operation, such as Xactly, SAP, Anaplan, Oracle EIM, etc.
  • Demonstrated success in a collaborative, fast-paced environment with proven attention to detail.
  • Good business acumen and awareness of business trends.
  • High degree of motivation, responsibility, and flexibility.
