Job Description
The role involves leading the development of Samsara's In-Vehicle Experience platform, focusing on creating intelligent, driver-centric in-cab camera systems that integrate AI, hardware, and human-centered design to enhance safety, communication, and operational efficiency for frontline workers.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for the In-Vehicle Experience platform.
- Define and prioritize features to enhance driver interaction with in-cab cameras.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to deliver reliable in-cab experiences within hardware constraints.
- Conduct customer research to understand how non-desk workers interact with in-cab technology.
- Partner with AI and ML teams to integrate intelligent features into the in-cab experience.
- Monitor product performance, define success metrics, and iterate based on data and customer feedback.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of product management experience, with a proven track record shipping products used by real end users at scale.
- Demonstrated experience shipping AI-powered or ML-driven features.
- Strong customer research skills with experience translating insights into successful product strategies.
- Platform thinking experience, with a track record of designing systems and frameworks that serve multiple downstream consumers.
- Excellent communication skills able to align cross-functional stakeholders and translate complex technical tradeoffs for diverse audiences.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience working at the hardware-software intersection, comfortable with firmware constraints, embedded systems, or the physical-digital boundary of connected devices.
- Experience building in-vehicle products.
- Experience with voice-based or audio products, or designing for hands-free and eyes-free interaction patterns.
