Job Description

A Senior Software Engineer - Growth at Samsara is responsible for developing and scaling customer-facing self-serve products, leveraging data to drive revenue and customer engagement, and collaborating across teams to implement growth initiatives in a fast-paced, innovative environment.

Key Responsibilities

Build customer-facing self-serve products using front-end, backend, and cloud technologies.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement growth initiatives.
Leverage data to identify opportunities and execute projects to drive revenue, customer growth, retention, and engagement.
Design, build, test, and deploy end-to-end production systems.
Write documentation and unit tests to support engineering efforts.

Requirements

Minimum of 6 years of professional software engineering experience, preferably in full-stack or growth-focused environments.
Proficiency in front end development, specifically with JavaScript frameworks such as Vue.js or comparable frontend frameworks.
Proficiency in Python Flask or similar frameworks for backend development.
Experience working with AWS or other cloud infrastructure platforms for deployment and scalability.
Strong understanding of web architecture, performance optimization, and security best practices.
Demonstrated ability to design, build, test, and deploy production-quality systems end-to-end.
Experience using data and analytics to identify opportunities, measure impact, and iterate on solutions.
Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, sales, and product teams to align technical solutions with business goals.
Excellent debugging, technical communication, and problem-solving skills.
