Job Description

The role involves managing the sourcing and supply chain of electromechanical components, collaborating with engineering and operations teams to ensure supply continuity, negotiate with vendors, and drive cost-saving initiatives to support the company's hardware development and manufacturing efforts.

Key Responsibilities

Lead sourcing of electromechanical components such as cables, connectors, and batteries.
Collaborate with internal teams on sourcing strategy, market analysis, and trade-off reviews.
Evaluate, develop, and manage supply base for prototype deployment and scalable production.
Negotiate contracts and source alternative suppliers to mitigate risk.
Analyze supplier spend and capacity to develop negotiation and engagement strategies.
Support value engineering projects to improve part quality and reduce costs.
Create should-cost models and collaborate with vendors on cost-effective solutions.
Identify and resolve sourcing gaps to ensure program execution.

Requirements

Minimum of 5 years of experience in global supply chain and or strategic sourcing.
Solid organizational skills, including attention to detail, prioritization, and triage of complicated issues.
Ability to dive deep into understanding strategic insights and commodity trends.
Advanced analytical skills, expertise in should-costing, and leading complex negotiations.
Ability to translate data into insights and craft executive presentations.
Self-motivated, proactive, creative, and critical problem-solving capabilities.
Experience working with international supply base partners at executive levels.
Ability to work in fast-paced, ambiguous settings.
Experience collaborating and working cross-functionally with Engineering and Product teams.
Preferred experience in electromechanical commodities including cables and connectors.
Bachelor’s degree minimum in a relevant analytical field such as Industrial Engineering, Engineering Management, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
