Job Description
A senior technical leadership role focused on designing and guiding the development of scalable, AI-driven safety and telematics solutions for fleet operations, with an emphasis on system architecture, machine learning, and cross-team collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and lead the technical strategy and architecture for Fleet Safety products, including video, telematics, and AI/ML workflows.
- Design and oversee the development of scalable, reliable, and secure backend systems, streaming pipelines, and data platforms.
- Translate research into customer-facing features that enhance detection, classification, real-time feedback, and coaching workflows.
- Scale distributed systems and data infrastructure to support high performance and operational efficiency.
- Establish engineering standards, guide trade-offs, and improve developer productivity across teams.
- Mentor and coach engineers, promote best practices, and foster a culture of ownership, rigor, and inclusion.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science Engineering.
- 12 years of experience as a software engineer building customer-facing applications, with at least 8 of those years in an architect or leadership role, and 6 years of experience leading cross-organization projects.
- Entrepreneurial experience with a track record of success for early-stage products.
- Stellar programming coding fundamentals.
- Expertise in working on large-scale enterprise software applications.
- Experience in applying Machine Learning or Artificial Intelligence to real-world applications.
- Technical mastery in Go, Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, C, C++, or other similar languages.
