Job Description
A Senior Software Engineer II responsible for designing and implementing mapping infrastructure to support routing, navigation, and telematics solutions for large fleet operations, enhancing safety, efficiency, and scalability of physical operations across diverse industries.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement infrastructure for creating layered map data, map tiles, and supporting routing, geocoding, and map matching functionalities.
- Develop scalable frontend and backend services to support large fleet operations.
- Collaborate with product and safety teams to build and improve mapping infrastructure, editors, and data pipelines.
- Translate logistical challenges into scalable software solutions for mapping, routing, and navigation products.
- Communicate technical work effectively to engineering teams and internal product partners.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
- 5 years of experience as a software engineer
- Fullstack or backend development experience
- Strong programming coding fundamentals
- Experience designing and architecting large, high-scale systems
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills, with a demonstrated ability to manage technical discussions
- Demonstrated ability executing in ambiguous environments and delivering customer value
