Job Description
A Senior Product Manager role focused on leading the development and strategy of AI-powered safety features within Samsara's Video-based Safety platform, leveraging large-scale IoT and computer vision data to improve industrial safety outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and own the product strategy for a new area within Video-based Safety.
- Lead the development and deployment of real-time AI/ML models at scale.
- Design and bring innovative safety solutions to market through cross-functional collaboration.
- Develop a long-term vision for the product while addressing technical challenges.
- Establish and measure KPIs to evaluate ML model efficacy and business impact.
Requirements
- 7 years of progressive product management experience with a visible history of successfully launching and scaling technically complex products.
- Prior experience shipping features that rely heavily on Machine Learning, Computer Vision (CV), or large-scale IoT data processing.
- Strong technical acumen that enables you to establish immediate credibility with engineers comfortable engaging in technical trade-off discussions regarding model architecture, training, and deployment.
- A bias-to-action and hands-on experience delivering tangible business outcomes in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- Excellent communication skills, comfortable and effective presenting strategy and results to customers and senior executive leadership.
- Undergraduate or graduate degree (MS, PhD, or MBA) in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Experience defining the product roadmap for hardware-software integrated systems or SaaS products that manage physical assets.
- A deep understanding of data quality, labeling pipelines, and MLOps best practices in a production environment.
- Proven ability to define key performance indicators (KPIs) for ML-driven products and use data science to measure model efficacy and business impact.
