Job Description
The role involves leading the development and scaling of AI-driven safety products, particularly video-based safety systems, to improve physical operations safety and reduce risks across large-scale industries. It requires managing product roadmaps, collaborating with engineering teams, and leveraging AI/ML models to understand driver behavior and environmental risks.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and lead the roadmap for core components of Samsara's perception stack on vehicles worldwide.
- Develop AI/ML models to understand driver behavior, crash risk, and necessary interventions.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to conceptualize and launch new safety products.
- Build relationships with customers to understand their needs and inform product development.
- Lead the use of AI tools to accelerate product development, customer research, and decision-making.
Requirements
- Minimum of 7 years in a product management and/or product-oriented engineering role.
- Track record of delivering business results for both 0-to-1 and at-scale products.
- Demonstrated experience and passion working on products that leverage state of the art AI, ML, and Computer Vision (CV).
- Strong technical background with the ability to grasp technical concepts and establish credibility with engineers.
- Experience balancing priorities across a complex set of business goals and engineering teams.
- Deep experience creating and growing products leveraging video data.
- Facility with development and deployment of AI, ML models, including training and evaluation pipelines.
- Understanding or experience with foundation models, model quantization, and distillation.
- Experience in autonomous vehicles, robotics, physical operations, or products with a vertically integrated hardware-software stack.
- Familiarity with B2B SaaS products and working with B2B sales teams.

Annual Base Salary 138,550 - 179,300 CAD
