Job Description
The Senior People Partner for R&D at Samsara is a strategic HR leader responsible for designing high-performing, scalable teams in product, platform, and AI engineering, fostering a culture of innovation, and leveraging data-driven insights to support rapid growth and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and architect small, high-performing teams that can move quickly while maintaining operational excellence.
- Help leaders structure organizations that scale without bureaucracy, ensuring agility as the company grows.
- Identify organizational bottlenecks, silos, and inefficiencies, and proactively restructure teams.
- Partner with senior engineering, AI, and platform leaders to anticipate talent needs and build supportive org structures.
- Drive a high-performance culture by implementing leadership development programs and fostering a culture of feedback and accountability.
- Leverage people analytics to inform organizational design, team health, and leadership effectiveness.
- Provide strategic insights to leadership on hiring, retention, and performance to enable proactive decision-making.
Requirements
- 8 years of People Partner experience, with at least 5 years supporting R D, product, AI, or engineering teams at a high-growth, fast paced tech company.
- Proven experience designing org structures that enable teams to ship quickly while maintaining execution discipline.
- Influence communication skills to act as a trusted advisor to executives and navigate complex org dynamics while driving decisive action.
- Ability to translate people metrics into strategic insights that directly impact speed, execution, and long-term team success.
- Ownership mentality with a founder mindset, embracing ambiguity and solving problems proactively.
