Job Description
A Senior Software Engineer responsible for developing and maintaining the mobile connectivity platform for Samsara's Android and iOS products, focusing on BLE integration, architecture, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, customer-focused mobile solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and implement a connectivity platform for Android and iOS to support product features.
- Collaborate with mobile, firmware, and backend teams to design seamless integration with hardware products.
- Improve application architecture, development processes, and developer experience for mobile apps.
- Produce high-quality, maintainable code, conduct reviews, and ship new features and updates.
- Mentor junior developers and contribute to team skill development.
- Drive cross-functional projects from concept to launch, ensuring alignment with customer needs and product goals.
Requirements
- 7 years of relevant industry experience in mobile development for Android and or iOS.
- Has built and shipped high-quality production mobile applications using either native or React Native frameworks.
- 3 years of professional experience building BLE-enabled mobile applications to interface with hardware products.
- Experience building and using observability tools, frameworks, and standards.
- Strong leadership skills driving projects and working cross-functionally.
- Strong ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and drive independent work.
- Passion for exploring and experimenting with new technologies that improve our products for customers.
