Job Description
The Senior Data Analyst at Samsara will analyze and visualize data to support strategic decision-making, working closely with cross-functional teams to improve products and operations in industries reliant on physical operations, such as transportation, manufacturing, and agriculture.
Key Responsibilities
- Translate data into strategic insights through memos, presentations, and dashboards to support decision-making.
- Build analytical models to identify patterns, anomalies, and root causes in data.
- Develop relationships with technical and non-technical stakeholders to understand data structures and business priorities.
- Perform exploratory analyses to assess product health and identify opportunities for improvement and optimization.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years experience in a data-related role relevant to data science, data analyst, business analytics, or business intelligence.
- Bachelor's degree (BA, MS, or equivalent coursework) in a quantitative discipline such as Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, or related fields.
- Proficiency in data manipulation and processing using SQL, Python, and/or R.
- Ability to communicate trends and learnings through data visualizations including Tableau.
- Ability to effectively share project statuses and take ownership of tasks while managing competing priorities.
- Ability to distill informal or ambiguous customer and business requirements into clear problem definitions.
- Proven ability to communicate verbally and in writing with technical peers and leadership teams at various levels of technical knowledge.
- Curiosity about data, products, and a desire to have an impact on the organization.
