Job Description
The Senior Data Analyst at Samsara will analyze and visualize data to support decision-making, build analytical models, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve operational products and processes in a remote setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Translate data into strategic insights through memos, presentations, and dashboards to support decision-making.
- Build analytical models to identify patterns, anomalies, and root causes in data.
- Develop and maintain data visualizations to communicate trends and learnings.
- Collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders to understand data structures and business priorities.
- Perform exploratory analyses to assess product health and identify opportunities for improvement and optimization.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years experience in a data-related role relevant to data science, data analyst, business analytics, or business intelligence.
- Bachelor's degree (BA) or Master's degree (MS) or equivalent coursework in a quantitative discipline such as Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, or related fields.
- Proficiency in data manipulation and processing using SQL, Python, and/or R.
- Ability to communicate trends and learnings via data visualizations including Tableau.
- Ability to effectively share project statuses and take ownership of tasks while handling competing priorities.
- Ability to distill informal or ambiguous customer and business requirements into clear problem definitions.
- Proven ability to communicate verbally and in writing to technical peers and leadership teams with various levels of technical knowledge.
- Curiosity about the company's data and product, and enthusiasm to have an impact.
