Job Description
The Security Engineer - Enterprise Security is responsible for building, operating, and maintaining Samsara's core security infrastructure, focusing on enterprise security systems, incident response, and automation to protect the company's digital assets and support secure operations across global industries.
Key Responsibilities
- Build, operate, and maintain Samsara's core security infrastructure
- Develop, deploy, and manage the enterprise security program
- Apply expertise in endpoint security, SASE, and secure web gateways to reduce risk
- Serve as a subject matter expert for security systems, ensuring seamless integration and operation
- Create documentation and runbooks for key enterprise security processes
- Collaborate with Security Operations on security investigations and incident management
- Assist with automated security tools such as access management and security engineering priorities
Requirements
- Deep subject matter expertise within enterprise security, including extensive experience managing endpoint security, identity lifecycle, or device trust efforts.
- At least 3 years of experience working in enterprise security in the technology sector.
- Willingness to collaborate with fellow security engineers and analysts, including via documentation writing, code pairing, and other activities.
- Experience building or operating security programs using modern SaaS platforms such as Zscaler, Crowdstrike, Wiz, Splunk, and other tools.
- Experience driving efforts around device trust, just-in-time access management, and identity lifecycle management.
