Job Description
A Sales Engineer at Samsara is responsible for supporting the sales team by providing technical expertise, demonstrating IoT solutions, and assisting with system integrations and deployments to help customers optimize their physical operations across various industries.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Global Sales Team with technical inquiries and maintain an inbound question queue
- Support technical trials and convey the value of Samsara solutions to prospects
- Create software scripting solutions and integrations for technical proof of concepts
- Provide internal technical assistance and QA support for Samsara products
- Produce and manage digital content for product learning, installation, and configuration
- Update and manage hardware and software lab infrastructure, including remote kits
- Coordinate and participate in new product testing activities
- Gather and highlight industry-specific customer use cases for Samsara solutions
- Coordinate cross-functional communication for prospect success, RFP responses, and support triaging
Requirements
- A Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Basic understanding of electronics and electrical systems.
- Experience tinkering with hardware gadgets, sensors, or vehicles is a plus.
- Preferred 1 year of experience working with customers in a pre-sales or support capacity.
