Job Description
A Principal Product Manager at Samsara is responsible for developing and delivering core automation features for the company's platform, working cross-functionally to enhance user experience, reliability, and scalability, ultimately impacting physical operations across various industries.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop product requirements and shape the roadmap for automation capabilities.
- Collaborate with design and engineering teams to ship scalable, reliable, and user-friendly features.
- Gather feedback from customer support, sales, and account teams to prioritize enhancements and debug issues.
- Use customer feedback and analytics to evaluate product success and recommend improvements.
- Contribute to product launch activities, including documentation and training materials.
Requirements
- 8 years of experience in product management, or a mix of product-focused roles in software, engineering, or technical consulting.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and simplify complex ideas.
- Comfortable using data and customer feedback to make decisions.
- Some familiarity with APIs, automation tools, or technical systems integration.
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical or related field, or equivalent practical experience such as software engineering experience.
- Experience working on B2B SaaS or platform products.
- Previous exposure to automation tools, event-based systems, or workflow builders.
- Experience working with enterprise customers or customer-facing teams.

Compensation/salary range: $134,400 - $240,000 USD annually
