Job Description
This role involves managing IT engineering projects, driving operational excellence, and supporting the technology needs of Samsara's teams to enable impactful physical operations through innovative IT solutions. It requires experience in project management, Agile methodologies, and stakeholder coordination, with a focus on delivering efficient IT services in a remote, Canada-based position.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive delivery of IT Engineering and Services projects
- Act as Scrum Master for the IT Engineering and Services team
- Manage IT engagement with the business, including requirements gathering, resource coordination, and stakeholder communication
- Develop and refine IT operational processes and propose improvements
- Develop a deep understanding of IT operations financials, services, performance metrics, and SLAs
- Drive operational excellence within IT functions
Requirements
- 8 years of experience in an IT project management capacity.
- Excellent JIRA skills experience with JIRA configuration.
- Experience managing Scrums, especially in the IT environment, and Agile and Kanban methodologies.
- Must reside in Canada.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills with an ability to build relationships and work across multi-functional organizations.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent projects end-to-end.
- Strong data management and analysis skills including Google Sheets, Excel, Splunk, etc.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented approach, with the ability to prioritize and work independently.
- Flexible problem solver who can adapt in a dynamic environment.
- Experience with corporate security and compliance programs operating internal controls, preparing evidence for audits, and ensuring proper data handling by responding to requests under GDPR, CCPA, or other privacy regulations.
