Job Description
This role involves managing IT engineering and services projects, driving operational excellence, and supporting the technology infrastructure to enable the company's teams to work effectively in a remote or hybrid environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive delivery of IT Engineering and Services projects
- Act as Scrum Master for the IT Engineering and Services team
- Manage IT engagement with the business, including requirements gathering, resource coordination, and stakeholder communication
- Develop and refine IT operational processes and propose improvements
- Develop a deep understanding of IT operations financials, services, performance metrics, and SLAs
- Drive operational excellence within IT
- Embed and promote Samsara’s cultural principles across the organization
Requirements
- 8 years of experience in an IT project management capacity.
- Excellent JIRA skills with experience in JIRA configuration.
- Experience managing Scrums, especially in the IT environment, and familiarity with Agile and Kanban methodologies.
- Must reside in Canada.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills with an ability to build relationships and work across multi-functional organizations.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent projects end-to-end.
- Strong data management and analysis skills including proficiency with Google Sheets, Excel, Splunk, etc.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented approach, with the ability to prioritize tasks independently.
- Flexible problem solver who can adapt in a dynamic environment.
- Experience with corporate security and compliance programs, operating internal controls, preparing evidence for audits, and ensuring proper data handling by responding to requests under GDPR, CCPA, or other privacy regulations.
