Job Description
This role involves developing and maintaining software and hardware solutions for IoT platforms, focusing on areas such as infrastructure, full-stack development, mobile, or embedded systems, to enhance connected operations across various industries.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop core infrastructure for the IoT platform, focusing on data ingestion and storage systems.
- Create user interfaces to transform device data into actionable insights.
- Develop features across the platform, including data structures and analytics for web and mobile platforms.
- Support and maintain the infrastructure for the React Native mobile application.
- Design, develop, and maintain on-device software for Samsara's hardware products, including AI models and real-time data processing.
Requirements
- Current Senior pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related technical field, with an expected graduation date in Fall Winter 2025 or Spring Summer 2026.
- This is a full-time, remote OR in-person hybrid role requiring 3 days per week in our London office and 2 days working remotely.
- Has a Builder Mindset, being passionate about creating and taking ownership of projects.
- A strong technical foundation in computer science fundamentals, data structures, and algorithms.
- Ability to develop production-level software.
- Proficiency in at least one of the following areas: Backend, Infrastructure, Fullstack, Frontend, or Mobile Infrastructure.
- Experience with technologies such as Golang, Python, Node.js, Typescript, and React is strongly encouraged.
- Motivated by understanding customer needs and building solutions that make their lives easier.
- Excited to ship customer experiences and iterate on new products based on feedback.
- Excellent collaboration skills and ability to work effectively both independently and with cross-functional teams.
