Job Description
This role involves developing and maintaining software and hardware solutions for IoT platforms that improve the safety, efficiency, and sustainability of physical operations across various industries, offering opportunities for recent graduates to work on impactful projects in a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop core infrastructure for the IoT platform, focusing on data ingestion and storage systems.
- Create user interfaces to transform device data into actionable insights.
- Develop features across the platform, including data structures and analytics for web and mobile platforms.
- Support and enhance the infrastructure of the React Native mobile application.
- Design, develop, and maintain on-device software for Samsara's hardware products, including AI models and real-time data processing.
Requirements
- Current Senior pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related technical field, with an expected graduation date in Fall Winter 2025 or Spring Summer 2026.
- This is a full-time, remote OR in-person hybrid role requiring 3 days per week in our London office and 2 days working remotely.
- Has a Builder Mindset: You re passionate about creating and taking ownership of projects.
- You have a strong technical foundation in computer science fundamentals, data structures, and algorithms, and you re adaptable and versatile, ready to tackle challenges across different areas of our technology stack.
- You have a proven ability to develop production-level software.
- You are proficient in at least one of the following areas: Backend, Infrastructure, Fullstack, Frontend, or Mobile Infrastructure.
- Experience with Golang, Python, Node.js, Typescript, and React is strongly encouraged.
- You are customer obsessed: You re motivated by understanding customer needs and building solutions that make their lives easier, and you re excited to ship customer experiences and iterate on new products based on feedback.
- You are a team player: You champion, role model, and embed our company values, especially the belief that we succeed together, and you have excellent collaboration skills to work effectively both independently and with cross-functional teams.
