Job Description

A remote sales role focused on acquiring new mid-sized customers for Samsara's IoT platform, involving end-to-end customer engagement, complex deal cycles, and building long-term relationships to help improve physical operations across various industries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through outbound prospecting and strategic account mapping
  • Manage customer engagements from prospecting and qualification to closing deals
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to facilitate deal progression and remove obstacles
  • Build and maintain genuine relationships with customers to foster trust and long-term success
  • Achieve and exceed sales quotas by closing net-new logo acquisitions in complex deal cycles

Requirements

  • Minimum of 24 months experience in a full-cycle, outbound-heavy SaaS closing role.
  • Previous experience in a pure hunter role focused on 80-90 net-new logo acquisition.
  • Proven track record of consistent quota over-achievement.
  • Experience handling complex mid-large deal cycles.
  • Ability to work on strategic account mapping outbound prospecting.
  • Own customer engagements end-to-end, from prospecting and qualification to close.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and curious by nature.
  • Comfortable in a dynamic, customer-facing environment.
  • Value-based selling approach.
  • MEDDIC experience.
  • Minimum sales deal size typically ranging from $20,000 to $200,000.
  • Ability to build genuine relationships with customers and earn trust.
  • Willingness to put in the work to learn about businesses where prior knowledge is limited.
  • Ability to collaborate with internal cross-functional stakeholders to remove deal blockers.
