Job Description

The Inside Sales Manager at Samsara leads and develops a team of account executives, focusing on selling IoT solutions to small and mid-sized organizations across various industries, with an emphasis on building customer relationships, achieving sales targets, and supporting long-term growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support a team of account executives to achieve sales targets
  • Hire, onboard, and coach new and existing account executives
  • Develop and implement sales strategies and pipeline reviews
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to solve problems and manage projects
  • Create training content and support professional development for the sales team
  • Provide feedback and performance management to account executives
  • Build and maintain genuine relationships with customers to foster trust
  • Promote and embody the company's cultural principles within the team

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years sales experience with proven performance owning a complex selling motion from prospecting through close.
  • 1-2 years of preferred experience managing a team.
  • Experience selling full-cycle sales.
  • Strong track record of overachievement with experience in coaching a team on outbounding.
  • Understanding of complex sales cycles involving multiple decision makers, multiple products, and extended time-frames.
  • Excellent communication skills and comfort with public speaking.
  • Strong interpersonal and team management skills.
  • Self-starter and adaptable to change.
  • Continued growth mindset to learn a unique industry.
  • Proficient in data-driven decision making.
  • Ability to provide upwards feedback.
