Job Description

The Sales Engineering Manager at Samsara leads and manages a dispersed team of sales engineers to demonstrate and communicate the value of Samsara's IoT platform to large customers, supporting the company's efforts to digitally transform physical operations across various industries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a dispersed sales engineering team to demonstrate and communicate the value of Samsara's platform to large customers.
  • Collaborate with sales, product, support, and customer success teams to ensure productive partnerships and account strategies.
  • Manage escalations related to product issues and feature requests in a pre-sales environment.
  • Participate in customer prospect calls as a trusted advisor to support sales efforts.
  • Hire, develop, and lead an inclusive, high-performing Sales Engineering team.
  • Improve and scale the Sales Engineering organization through strategic initiatives and best practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree from a 4 year accredited university
  • 5 years of professional experience in hands on engineering, pre-sales, customer success, or customer product support capacity
  • 3 years of sales engineering management experience
  • Experience with Software Product sales Infrastructure, SaaS
  • Knowledge in one or more of these areas of expertise: IoT, Networking Security, SaaS, Cloud Technologies, or Physical Security
  • Strong technical and business acumen
  • Excellent communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to partner with a broad coalition of stakeholders, ranging from sales, product, marketing, support, customer success and from individual contributors to executive team members across the organization
  • Demonstrated leadership, creativity, and problem solving abilities
  • Excellent presentation and organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a fast paced dynamic environment
  • Ability to travel as needed
  • Proximity to an international airport (for remote candidates in Canada in EST time zones)

Annual OTE Salary range of CAD 235,450 to CAD 277,000
