Job Description
This role involves providing technical support and troubleshooting for SaaS applications, hardware, and AV systems to ensure smooth operations and enhance productivity within a fast-paced, high-growth environment at Samsara.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and support SaaS applications such as Okta, Slack, Zoom, and Google Workspace.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues for users, including high-priority escalations.
- Provide hands-on support for devices, AV setups, meetings, events, and conference rooms.
- Document technical solutions and best practices in the knowledge base.
- Collaborate with IT teams to deploy tools and services that improve productivity and collaboration.
- Guide team problem-solving activities and technical discussions.
- Mentor new hires and foster a collaborative team environment.
Requirements
- Fluency with enterprise SaaS platforms, primarily Google Workspace and Okta.
- Previous experience in IT support as a Sysadmin, ideally in a fast-paced or high-growth environment.
- Deep familiarity with both macOS and Windows environments, including imaging, configuration, and endpoint security best practices.
- Strong understanding of A V systems and conferencing tools, with experience setting up and supporting executive meetings, boardrooms, and live events.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical issues clearly and calmly to non-technical stakeholders.
- Track record of discretion, professionalism, and composure when dealing with high-pressure or high-visibility situations.
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills across hardware, software, and network-related issues.
- Ownership mindset with proven reliability in resolving technical problems end-to-end with minimal supervision.
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field such as Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent hands-on experience and certifications.
- Scripting or automation experience (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell) to streamline repetitive tasks or support workflows (preferred but not explicitly mandatory).
- A calm, composed presence under pressure, with a reputation for delivering fast, accurate solutions in time-sensitive situations.
- A proactive mindset, always looking ahead to anticipate executive needs and eliminate recurring friction in the technology experience.
