Job Description
The role involves managing and driving finance transformation projects, including system implementations and process improvements, to support the company's financial operations and strategic initiatives in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive projects impacting ERP, Salesforce, and compensation systems, coordinating with internal and external teams
- Employ project management practices to execute projects, manage stakeholders, and ensure accountability
- Lead the implementation of new software tools, including requirements gathering, testing, and reporting
- Collaborate with the business technology team to align system design with business needs
- Oversee and manage User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including script creation, testing, and issue resolution
- Work closely with Accounting, Business Operations, and US Finance teams to ensure customer-focused processes
- Develop reports in ERP and Salesforce to support team reporting requests
- Embed and promote Samsara’s cultural principles within project execution
Requirements
- 7 years of professional work experience with 4 years experience in a project management or operations role, with a history of leading initiatives
- Possess familiarity in finance processes and systems with analytical and problem-solving skills to drive project implementations
- Experience working on projects supporting Compensation teams and accounting finance systems
- Demonstrated understanding of established project management practices and tools
- A detail-oriented, high-energy, positive disposition and excellent communication skills
- Proven track record of sound judgment calls, taking ownership, and delivering results
- Ability to meet deadlines while managing multiple projects
- Fluent in written and verbal English
- Have prior knowledge and experience in implementing Vertex and/or TMS Treasury Management System
- Intermediate Excel skills
- Experience with Netsuite and Salesforce
- Legal right to work in the specified location (US, Mexico, or Canada) as applicable
