Job Description
The role involves leading the development of in-vehicle safety experiences by analyzing road data and driver behavior to enhance safety and prevent accidents, contributing to Samsara's connected operations platform and supporting industries reliant on physical operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and launch of new software features in collaboration with engineering teams.
- Gather and analyze customer feedback to prioritize feature development and improve user experience.
- Define metrics to monitor and refine customer experience and product performance.
- Partner with the sales team to support closing strategic customer accounts.
- Hire, develop, and lead a high-performing, inclusive team of product managers.
Requirements
- Experience in a senior product leadership role within a high growth software development organization.
- Strong technical understanding, ability to grasp technical concepts and establish credibility with engineers.
- Bias-to-action and hands-on experience delivering business results, including writing specifications or engaging directly with customers.
- Demonstrated experience setting strategy for complex technical areas, using data to make investment decisions, and measuring progress towards business outcomes.
- Experience hiring, developing, and leading people as a direct manager.
- Excellent communication skills, comfortable presenting to customers and internal audiences, including senior executives.
- Ability to drive teams of diverse backgrounds to ship features on tight timelines.
- Minimum of 10 years of job experience in relevant product, technical, or business roles.
- Experience with B2B or people-oriented workflows software.
- Familiarity with B2B SaaS products and working with B2B sales teams.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a technical field; an MBA is a plus.
- Entrepreneurial experience.
- Ability to work with engineering teams to launch new software features and help drive a fast-growing, at-scale business with 500 million USD in ARR.
- Ability to gather customer feedback to understand needs and prioritize feature development.
- Ability to define clear metrics to track and refine customer experience.
- Ability to partner with sales teams to help close strategic customer accounts as needed.
