The Project Architect will lead the technical development and coordination of large, complex architectural projects, ensuring design intent, quality, compliance, and integration of sustainable and building performance goals from conception through construction administration.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the development of technical content and oversee all technical aspects of large or multiple projects.
Manage project schedules, budgets, and labor plans to ensure financial and contractual success.
Coordinate multidisciplinary work to ensure integrated deliverables and compliance with codes and standards.
Guide the translation of design intent into technical documentation throughout all project phases.
Lead project quality management, including reviews, milestone assessments, and technical charettes.
Oversee the documentation strategy and ensure alignment with project design goals and client expectations.
Monitor and ensure compliance with building codes, safety standards, and sustainability goals.
Coordinate all discipline efforts to align with architectural design and project specifications.
Manage construction administration tasks, including RFIs, submittals, and site documentation.
Supervise and mentor project team members to maintain technical quality and process standards.
Requirements
Minimum Bachelor degree in a relevant field required.
Minimum 10 years of related professional experience required.
Experience must include 5 years in increasingly responsible roles in construction documentation on institutional and or commercial projects.
At least 3 years in a responsible role in construction administration on large institutional or commercial projects.
Previous experience on large, complex projects.
Current Architectural Registration in the United States required.
Knowledge of building codes and requirements.
Demonstrated focus on quality.
Must possess business acumen.
Must have strong client leadership skills.
Must have strong technical leadership skills for production team.
Must be capable of leading and mentoring less experienced staff.
Must have advanced knowledge in discipline.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Familiarity with Revit, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, and construction management software.
