Job Description

The Inside Sales Director at Samsara leads and develops a high-performing sales team focused on selling IoT solutions to US organizations, driving growth and customer success across various industries through strategic coaching, relationship building, and sales management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support a team of sales managers and account executives to achieve sales targets in the US market.
  • Hire, onboard, and coach sales team members to ensure their growth and high performance.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies, conduct pipeline reviews, and provide tactical feedback.
  • Create training content and support professional development initiatives for the sales team.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to solve problems and manage projects related to sales processes.
  • Build and maintain genuine relationships with customers to foster trust and long-term success.
  • Promote and embody the company's cultural principles within the sales team and organization.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 6 years of sales experience, with proven performance owning a complex selling motion from prospecting through close
  • At least 3 years of experience managing US sales teams
  • Experience leading full-cycle sales into the US market
  • Strong track record of overachievement with experience in coaching a team on outbounding
  • Understanding of full sales cycles involving multiple decision makers, multiple products, and extended time frames
  • Excellent communication skills and comfortable with public speaking
  • Strong interpersonal and team management skills
  • Self-starter and adaptable to change
  • Continued growth mindset to learn a unique industry
  • Proficient in making data-driven conclusions
  • Ability to provide upward feedback
  • Familiarity with SFDC (Salesforce.com)
