Job Description
The Inside Sales Director at Samsara leads and develops a high-performing sales team focused on selling IoT solutions to US organizations, driving growth and customer success across various industries through strategic coaching, relationship building, and sales management.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support a team of sales managers and account executives to achieve sales targets in the US market.
- Hire, onboard, and coach sales team members to ensure their growth and high performance.
- Develop and implement sales strategies, conduct pipeline reviews, and provide tactical feedback.
- Create training content and support professional development initiatives for the sales team.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to solve problems and manage projects related to sales processes.
- Build and maintain genuine relationships with customers to foster trust and long-term success.
- Promote and embody the company's cultural principles within the sales team and organization.
Requirements
- Minimum of 6 years of sales experience, with proven performance owning a complex selling motion from prospecting through close
- At least 3 years of experience managing US sales teams
- Experience leading full-cycle sales into the US market
- Strong track record of overachievement with experience in coaching a team on outbounding
- Understanding of full sales cycles involving multiple decision makers, multiple products, and extended time frames
- Excellent communication skills and comfortable with public speaking
- Strong interpersonal and team management skills
- Self-starter and adaptable to change
- Continued growth mindset to learn a unique industry
- Proficient in making data-driven conclusions
- Ability to provide upward feedback
- Familiarity with SFDC (Salesforce.com)
