Job Description
The Inside Sales Director at Samsara leads and develops a high-performing sales team focused on selling IoT solutions to US organizations, driving growth through strategic sales management, customer relationship building, and industry expertise to support physical operations across various industries.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support a team of sales managers and account executives in achieving sales targets.
- Hire, onboard, and coach sales team members to ensure their growth and success.
- Develop and implement sales strategies, including pipeline management and sales process optimization.
- Create training content and facilitate professional development for the sales team.
- Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with customers across various industries.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to solve problems and manage projects related to sales initiatives.
- Provide tactical feedback and coaching to improve team performance and sales outcomes.
Requirements
- Minimum of 6 years of sales experience, with proven performance owning a complex selling motion from prospecting through close
- At least 3 years of experience managing US sales teams
- Experience leading full-cycle sales into the US market
- Strong track record of overachievement with experience in coaching a team on outbounding
- Understanding of full sales cycles involving multiple decision makers, multiple products, and extended time frames
- Excellent communication skills and comfortable with public speaking
- Strong interpersonal and team management skills
- Self-starter and adaptable to change
- Continued growth mindset to learn a unique industry
- Proficient in making data-driven conclusions
- Ability to provide upward feedback
