Job Description

The Deal Desk Director for Enterprise at Samsara is responsible for leading the deal governance process, supporting complex enterprise transactions, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive growth and operational excellence in a fast-paced, remote environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support and influence complex Enterprise transactions by collaborating with Sales and Finance leadership
  • Develop and execute deal strategies including pricing, payment structures, and legal considerations
  • Utilize data and reporting to support decision-making, executive communication, and performance monitoring
  • Provide operational excellence to enhance the Sales and Customer experience
  • Build and maintain cross-functional partnerships and communicate feedback effectively
  • Hire, develop, and lead a high-performing, inclusive team of deal managers

Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years of combined experience in Deal Desk, Finance, Sales, Sales Operations, Revenue Operations or equivalent roles.
  • Demonstrated experience in complex deal negotiations.
  • Financial acumen, ability to translate corporate financial goals into deal support strategy.
  • Ability to work with senior management and Enterprise Customers, distill key concepts, and influence business choices.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to synthesize data into actionable insights, make data-driven conclusions, and establish recurring reporting to monitor performance.
  • Proficiency in CRM, CPQ, and CLM tools and familiarity with downstream systems such as ERP and reporting visualizations.
  • Ability to hire, manage, and develop talent and lead a high-performing team.
  • Experience managing a Deal Desk or Commercial Incubation team within a high-growth SaaS business at scale with at least 1 billion ARR (preferred).
  • Proficiency in Salesforce and NetSuite.
