Job Description
The Deal Desk Director for Enterprise at Samsara is responsible for leading the deal governance process, supporting complex enterprise transactions, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive growth and operational excellence in a fast-paced, remote environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support and influence complex Enterprise transactions in collaboration with Sales and Finance leadership
- Develop and execute deal strategies including pricing, payment structures, and legal considerations
- Utilize data and reporting to support decision-making and identify areas for improvement
- Provide operational excellence to enhance the Sales and Customer experience
- Build and lead a high-performing, inclusive team of deal managers
- Partner with cross-functional teams to align on deal outcomes and feedback
- Communicate effectively with senior management and Enterprise Customers to influence business decisions
Requirements
- Minimum of 10 years of combined experience in Deal Desk, Finance, Sales, Sales Operations, Revenue Operations or equivalent roles
- Demonstrated experience in complex deal negotiations
- Financial acumen, ability to translate corporate financial goals into deal support strategy
- Ability to work with senior management and Enterprise Customers, distill key concepts, and influence business choices
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to synthesize data into actionable insights, make data-driven conclusions and establish recurring reporting to monitor performance
- Proficiency in CRM, CPQ and CLM tools and familiarity with downstream systems such as ERP and reporting visualizations
- Experience managing a Deal Desk or Commercial Incubation team within a high-growth SaaS business at scale with $1 billion ARR is preferred
- Proficiency in Salesforce and NetSuite
- Ability to hire, manage, and develop a high-performing, inclusive team of deal managers
- Ability to influence deal outcomes and achieve corporate financial goals through collaboration with Sales, Finance, Legal, and Product teams
- Ability to support and execute syndicated deal strategies including pricing, payment structures, legal and product considerations
- Experience supporting decision-making through data and real-time reporting
- Ability to work effectively with senior management and enterprise customers, distilling key concepts and influencing business decisions

- Ability to operate at a high pace and continuously improve processes through business insights
