Job Description

The Deal Desk Director for Enterprise at Samsara is responsible for leading the deal governance process, supporting complex enterprise transactions, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive growth and operational excellence in a fast-paced, remote environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support and influence complex Enterprise transactions in collaboration with Sales and Finance leadership
  • Develop and execute deal strategies including pricing, payment structures, and legal considerations
  • Utilize data and reporting to support decision-making and identify areas for improvement
  • Provide operational excellence to enhance the Sales and Customer experience
  • Build and lead a high-performing, inclusive team of deal managers
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to align on deal outcomes and feedback
  • Communicate effectively with senior management and Enterprise Customers to influence business decisions

Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years of combined experience in Deal Desk, Finance, Sales, Sales Operations, Revenue Operations or equivalent roles
  • Demonstrated experience in complex deal negotiations
  • Financial acumen, ability to translate corporate financial goals into deal support strategy
  • Ability to work with senior management and Enterprise Customers, distill key concepts, and influence business choices
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to synthesize data into actionable insights, make data-driven conclusions and establish recurring reporting to monitor performance
  • Proficiency in CRM, CPQ and CLM tools and familiarity with downstream systems such as ERP and reporting visualizations
  • Experience managing a Deal Desk or Commercial Incubation team within a high-growth SaaS business at scale with $1 billion ARR is preferred
  • Proficiency in Salesforce and NetSuite
  • Ability to hire, manage, and develop a high-performing, inclusive team of deal managers
  • Ability to influence deal outcomes and achieve corporate financial goals through collaboration with Sales, Finance, Legal, and Product teams
  • Ability to support and execute syndicated deal strategies including pricing, payment structures, legal and product considerations
  • Experience supporting decision-making through data and real-time reporting
  • Ability to work effectively with senior management and enterprise customers, distilling key concepts and influencing business decisions
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive, high-performing team environment
  • Ability to operate at a high pace and continuously improve processes through business insights
