Job Description
The role involves leading mergers and acquisitions, venture investments, and strategic projects to support Samsara's growth, working closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to evaluate, negotiate, and execute deals in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all aspects of M&A and venture deal execution, including sourcing, due diligence, financial modeling, and negotiations
- Analyze industry trends and strategic objectives to identify and pursue relevant companies and technologies
- Lead special projects that deliver impact across the company, including building new initiatives from zero to one
- Develop and maintain relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders such as CEOs, bankers, venture capitalists, and industry leaders
- Evaluate, negotiate, and execute deals, and participate in scouting and integration processes
Requirements
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in a mix of corporate development, investment banking, venture capital, and private equity.
- Proactive self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Comfortable with undefined processes and building zero to one.
- Demonstrated analytical skills, fluency in performing rigorous financial, valuation, and other quantitative analyses.
- Demonstrated experience influencing and communicating effectively across all levels and teams across the organization.
- Demonstrated understanding of technology with an acumen to engage with product and engineering leaders on tech roadmaps.
- Proficiency in evaluating, negotiating, and executing deals and comfortable jumping into the scouting and integration processes.
