Job Description
The role involves leading and executing comprehensive communications strategies to enhance Samsara's brand, support product adoption, and engage employees across the EMEA region, including external PR, storytelling, customer advocacy, and executive messaging.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute brand communications strategies for external and internal audiences.
- Lead and grow the EMEA communications team to enhance brand presence and culture.
- Manage external communications including media relations, analyst relations, and influencer outreach.
- Create and maintain an editorial calendar for proactive announcements across Paid, Earned, Owned, and Social media channels.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to drive marketing initiatives that support sales growth.
- Develop high-quality customer stories and assets to enable marketing and sales campaigns.
- Lead executive communications, including crafting messaging, speeches, and managing visibility for senior leaders.
- Manage agency relationships and budgets related to corporate communications efforts.
- Partner with internal teams to support diversity, inclusion, and talent branding strategies.
- Provide strategic counsel to the executive team on communication initiatives and reputation management.
Requirements
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in communications, public relations, marketing, or branding, preferably in a high-growth and/or B2B environment.
- Excellent communication, storytelling, and presentation skills in written, verbal, and visual formats.
- Experience leading or executing communications for a publicly traded company.
- Experience leading or executing a crisis communications strategy for a company, inclusive of proactive issues mitigation strategies.
- Experience working with public policy stakeholders to proactively manage a company’s reputation.
- Experience working directly with executives and supporting executive communications programs.
- Solid working relationships with top-tier technology and financial press, including a deep rolodex of media professionals and influential media outlets.
- Proven ability to drive PR for technology hypergrowth companies and their founders.
- Experience in strategic communications, including message development and strategic positioning.
- Experience managing cross-functional initiatives involving multiple stakeholders across an organization.
- Effective communication skills across all levels of an organization and across global teams, from individual contributors to executive staff.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle projects end-to-end.
- Bias-to-action and results-focused mindset.
- Self-starter with minimal supervision, demonstrating initiative supporting PR strategy and company goals.
- Hybrid creative and analytical thinking skills to develop innovative ideas and measure their impact.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field of study.
- Experience in a SaaS environment is strongly preferred.
- Experience in a B2B technology environment.
