Job Description
The Accounting Analyst II at Samsara is responsible for supporting month-end close activities, preparing journal entries and reconciliations, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and process improvements in a fast-paced, remote environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform various general ledger (GL) month-end close activities
- Prepare journal entries and related account reconciliations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as procure-to-pay, treasury, payroll, sales, and supply chain
- Manage and own assigned accounts, including inventory, deferred commissions, securities, bank arrangements, and receivables/payables
- Identify and implement process improvements in the close process
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in accounting.
- 2 years relevant accounting experience.
- Able to work with a high volume of transactions in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of operational accounting processes including accruals, account reconciliation, month-end and year-end close.
- Must be able to collaborate and communicate effectively.
- Intermediate Excel skills.
- Must have demonstrated English proficiency.
- Experience working under strict deadlines and ensuring compliance with company policies.
- Experience with NetSuite.
- Ideal candidate CPA or equivalent or interest in obtaining CPA or equivalent.
- Critical thinker, able to implement scalable processes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organization skills with exceptional attention to detail and follow-through.
