Job Description
The Account Development Representative at Samsara is responsible for generating sales opportunities through outbound outreach, building pipelines, and supporting the sales team to drive growth in the IoT and SaaS space, with opportunities for career advancement and professional development.
Key Responsibilities
- Source pipelines for EMEA business through outbound outreach via phone, email, and LinkedIn
- Generate sales opportunities and engage prospective customers
- Maintain detailed records of interactions in CRM Salesforce
- Become a product and sales process expert to effectively communicate value propositions
- Participate in trade shows and events to represent the Samsara brand and connect with prospects
- Support customer success and build long-term relationships with prospects
- Collaborate with team members and support account development efforts
- Continuously learn about customer businesses, products, and sales techniques
Requirements
- 1-3 years of professional experience, ideally in customer facing roles
- 6-12 months of sales experience as a minimum
- Highly motivated and committed, with strong desire to work in target driven sales
- Proven track record of consistent over achievement of targets and expectations of previous roles
- Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
- Curious and able to ask insightful questions
- A champion of a Growth Mindset
- Highly proficient in English
- Experience in closing-sales roles (preferred but not mandatory)
- Proven track record of achievements beyond work e.g. academics, sports, charity (preferred but not mandatory)
- Willingness to collaborate and influence in a win as a team environment
- Willingness to work from the London office at 1 Alie Street, Aldgate East, E1 8DE twice per week
- Ability to work in a hybrid position combining remote work and in-office presence
- Ability to build and maintain pipelines through outbound outreach via phone, emails, and LinkedIn
- Ability to participate in trade shows and represent the Samsara brand
- Ability to become a product expert and learn the Samsara way of selling
- Ability to keep meticulous records of interactions with accounts in Salesforce CRM
- Ability to learn and embed Samsara’s cultural principles, including Customer Success, Build for the Long Term, Adopt a Growth Mindset, Be Inclusive, Win as a Team
