Job Description
The Account Development Representative at Samsara is responsible for generating leads, engaging potential customers through outbound calls, and supporting the sales team to drive the adoption of IoT solutions that improve physical operations across various industries.
Key Responsibilities
- Search for leads and map enterprise accounts to identify potential customers
- Build demand for Samsara's products through outbound campaigns and outreach
- Qualify leads and distribute them to sales representatives
- Identify and map organizational structures to locate key decision-makers
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop marketing campaigns supporting sales
- Engage in high-volume cold calling to prospective customers
- Learn and observe the full sales cycle, from lead generation to closing deals
- Develop a deep understanding of customer businesses and technical concepts
Requirements
- Ability and willingness to make 50 cold calls a day.
- At least 3 months of sales experience and or sales prospecting ability, which can include sales related coursework, sales competitions, etc.
- Must be currently enrolled in an accredited 4-year Bachelor’s degree program.
- Must demonstrate a growth mindset and a willingness to be collaborative with teammates and in the selling process.
- Ability to quickly grasp technical concepts and embed AI usage into day-to-day operations.
