Job Description
The Account Development Representative at Samsara is responsible for generating sales opportunities through outbound outreach, building pipelines, and fostering relationships with prospective customers in the IoT and SaaS space, with opportunities for career growth and professional development.
Key Responsibilities
- Source pipelines for EMEA business through outbound outreach via phone, email, and LinkedIn
- Participate in trade shows and events to represent the Samsara brand and connect with prospects
- Become a product expert and learn the Samsara sales approach
- Maintain detailed records of interactions with prospects in CRM Salesforce
- Drive sales pipeline growth by engaging with prospects and fostering relationships
- Support the sales team by creating high-quality sales engagements and supporting account development
- Partner with field Account Executives and Regional Sales Managers on large accounts and territory planning
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to improve sales skills and product knowledge
Requirements
- 1-3 years of professional experience, ideally in customer facing roles
- 6-12 months of sales experience as a minimum
- Highly motivated and committed, with strong desire to work in target driven sales
- Proven track record of consistent over achievement of targets and expectations of previous roles
- Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
- Curious and able to ask insightful questions
- A champion of a Growth Mindset
- Highly proficient in English and in French
- Experience in closing-sales roles (preferred but not mandatory)
- Proven track record of achievements beyond work, e.g., academics, sports, charity (preferred but not mandatory)
- Willingness to collaborate and influence in a win as a team environment
- Ability to work in a remote position within France, Germany, The Netherlands, or the United Kingdom, with working hours in CEST
- Ability to keep meticulous records of interactions with accounts in CRM Salesforce.com
- Willingness to participate in training programs, including call sessions, tool training (Salesforce, Salesloft, Lusha), product knowledge, objection handling, professional writing, persona-based messaging, cold calling 2.0, and collaboration with Account Executives
- Ability to handle rejection and maintain resilience in outbound calling and outreach activities
- Ability to participate in trade shows and represent the Samsara brand
- Willingness to learn and develop hard skills needed in the Sales function
- Ability to build and foster relationships with prospects interested in Samsara’s products
- Ability to support top of funnel movement and create high-quality sales engagements (for ADR II level and above)
- Ability to partner closely with field Account Executives and Enterprise Regional Sales Managers on large accounts (for ADR III level and above)
