Job Description
The Account Development Representative at Samsara is responsible for generating sales opportunities through outbound outreach, building pipelines, and fostering relationships with prospective customers in the IoT and SaaS space, with opportunities for career growth and professional development within a high-performance sales culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Source pipelines for EMEA business through outbound outreach via phone, email, and LinkedIn
- Participate in trade shows and events to represent the Samsara brand and connect with prospects
- Become a product expert and learn the Samsara sales approach
- Maintain detailed records of interactions with prospects in CRM Salesforce
- Drive sales pipeline development and engagement with potential customers
- Support account development efforts by conducting high-volume prospect conversations
- Collaborate with Account Executives and other sales team members to support sales activities
- Engage in continuous training to improve sales skills, product knowledge, and market understanding
Requirements
- 1-3 years of professional experience, ideally in customer facing roles
- 6-12 months of sales experience as a minimum
- Highly motivated and committed, with strong desire to work in target driven sales
- Proven track record of consistent over achievement of targets and expectations of previous roles
- Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
- Curious and able to ask insightful questions
- A champion of a Growth Mindset
- Highly proficient in English and in German
- Experience in closing-sales roles (preferred but not mandatory)
- Proven track record of achievements beyond work, e.g., academics, sports, charity (preferred but not mandatory)
- Willingness to collaborate and influence in a win as a team environment
- Willingness to work in working hours in CEST timezone
- Ability to keep meticulous records of interactions with accounts in CRM Salesforce.com
- Ability to participate in trade shows and represent the Samsara brand
- Willingness to learn and become a product expert and learn the Samsara way of selling
- Willingness to undergo ongoing training and professional development during the ADR program
- Ability to handle rejection and maintain resilience in outbound calling
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of pipeline development
- Legal right to work in Germany, France, The Netherlands, or United Kingdom (if applicable to the candidate's location)
